A Presbyterian minister blogs about spirituality, culture, religion (both organized and disorganized), life, evolution, literature, Jesus, and lightening up.
This is my personal blog. My views are my own and do not represent those of the congregation I joyfully serve. But my congregation loves me!

A Mighty Wind
This killed me. There really is a church called "Mighty Wind." We spotted it on vacation in North Carolina.
The trailer must carry the instruments for the folk singers.
You need to see the movie, A Mighty Wind, which is a spoof of folks singers, yet endearing. Also Waiting for Guffman and Best in Show are movies with the same cast. Funny stuff.

Looks like a great name for a church on the Outer Banks. The first song that came to my mind was the Chad Mitchell Trio's "Mighty Day" . . .
But I suppose the Mighty Wind song is sort of like the old Spirit is a-Movin' during the Jesus Freak days of the 1970s.
