I do not think that God very much cares about money, it is not like He created it.<br /><br />I think as you point out that God cares about people. God wants us to Love other people not because it is good for them, it is, but because it is good for us. We can not Love without having Love within us and God is Love. <br /><br />God is working His will upon the self-indulgent people we as a country have become. One of the great things about this blog is its critique of empire, which is always important, always well thought out and something we always need to remember.<br /><br />A couple of weeks ago, I went to see the Dead Seas scrolls exhibit here in Toronto (well worth seeing). The contrast between the Qumrum community with the Temple and the rest of Jerusalem as well as a Hellenized city on the coast was quite well done and very illuminating.
